hallelujah, the style saint is here

Style Saint is basically like Pinterest except it is completely devoted to fashion...not pictures of cute cats and cupcakes. It seems to be the outcome of a very passionate Allison, who wanted to create a neat and visually pleasing virtual collection of pictures appreciating photography and fashion. She even includes a how-to page to make the site easier to manage and adapt to.

Something I found innovative and endearing was instead of referring to the pictures as just pictures or posts, they are called "tears." The tears are meant to simulate tearing pages out of a magazine. This makes her site more personal as she admitted to tearing hundreds of pictures out of magazines and creating her own fashion files as a teen.



I just hope the site doesn't get abused by users clogging it up with inspirational quotes typed over a picture of a sunset, as many photo-blogging sites are. (See Pinterest and Tumblr.)
